evrytime i stand at one and attempt to cross, the drivers wiz by me with a look of disbelief. WHat is that fool trying to do? which idiot hopes to cross the road on that black and white thing. Well i'll tell you, its called a pedestrian crossing, it somehow helps pedestrians to cross. It does not mean "speed up now" or "overtake here" and is not a maxi taxi stand. i think part of the problem is that they call it a "Zebra Crossing" in trinidad and i guess the drivers just take the liberty to assume that there will be no zebras crossing the road so they ignore it completley.
